The Railway Museum
The Port Adelaide National Railway Museum
The Grace and charm of a by-gone era awaits you at one of South Australia's best collections of Trains and Locomotion memorabilia.
Situated at 76 Lipson Street in Port Adelaide this beautifully kept museum offers much for the train enthusiast or indeed for a couple who are wanting a wedding ceremony with a difference.
There are carriages designed to accommodate small weddings in a setting that hints of the famous Orient Express in class and ambience or if you prefer the graffiti days of the 1950's then the yellow appointed lounges of the lounge car will thrill any rockabilly themed wedding couple.
Ideally geared for Steampunk receptions, The Port Adelaide National Railway Museum holds the annual Steampunk convention festival in May where the whole Museum is transported back to the Victorian Era and characters from a Jules Verne Novel come to life.
So naturally a Steampunk wedding would be a grand place to hold an authentic Steampunk wedding amongst the Locomotives.
For an elegant and different wedding ceremony experience then the Port Adelaide National Railway Museum is a venue not to be missed where the charm of a traditional wedding or the fun and splendour of a Steampunk, Rockabilly or other themed wedding can be held within our Museum or grounds.
The Museum is open from 10:00am to 4:30pm daily.
